It’s the nightmarish moment a toddler nearly drowned when she climbed into a family’s swimming pool.
Footage shows Father Cleyton Alves Pinto, 38, jumping into the swimming pool in Matrinchã, Goiás, Brazil, to pull Bella, 14, out of the water.
Bella’s mother, Karlla Araújo, 28, who is a baker, said she didn’t realize what was going on until she heard Cleyton scream.
The footage shows the toddler, dressed in a white top and diaper, tentatively dipping his foot into the pool before falling into it.
Unable to swim, she begins to struggle with her arms in the water, which alerted her father, who jumped from his hammock and jumped to save his daughter.
The fear was taken on the family’s CCTV, which Karlla recently shared online.
Karlla said it all happened “very quickly”. “I just heard my husband scream,” she told Crescer.
She said: “When I got there she was calm, not crying, her heart was just beating.
“I don’t think she drank a lot of water.
Karlla said she and her husband Cleyton Alves Pinto, 38, a farmer and trader, spent the day by the pool with their two children, Bella and Miguel, 5.

The 14-month-old fell into the pool while his five-year-old brother was reading at their home in Matrincha, Brazil.
Once she fell, she couldn’t get out of the pool, in footage recently shared online by her mother.
A sudden gust of wind surprised the family and they went inside to shelter from the wind and rain. Karlla changed her daughter’s wet clothes and she joined her father, who was sitting on a hammock.
She said Cleyton didn’t realize Bella had returned and therefore wasn’t paying attention to her movements.
She added that he waited for the rain to subside before putting a blanket on the pool.

In the days following the September 12 incident, Karlla realized that her daughter had become terrified of the water and even became restless when she was washed in a bath.
She posted the video to alert other families to the dangers of swimming pools and to always be aware even when the risk seems low.
“God saved us from the worst, but may this episode serve as a warning to all parents,” she said.
