Summit County Businesses Combine Concierge Services With Luxury Property Management To Create Visitors’ Dream Vacation

A visit to Summit County is in itself a dream, but some local businesses offer concierge services that turn a pleasurable vacation into a luxury getaway.

Summit County has a large luxury real estate market, and many of these properties serve as second homes for owners who wish to house and reunite their multigenerational families for a visit to the Rocky Mountains. But when not in use, these homes sit empty and many are turned into rental properties for others to enjoy as well.

This is where Steamboat Springs is based Move mountains and based in Breckenridge Summit Luxury Estates enter: the two companies not only manage luxury properties and help with rental bookings, but each also offers and coordinates other hospitality services to make a guest’s stay exquisite.



The leaders of every company have a history in the hospitality industry. Robin Craigen, co-founder and CEO of Moving Mountains, and his wife operated a luxury yacht in the British Virgin Islands before opening their own property management company in Steamboat in 1997.

“We wanted to replicate that experience in the mountains to do a lot of the things that we had done for the guests on the yacht to provide the same level of service to make the vacation smoother, more relaxing, more enjoyable (and) less worry. approximately, ”Craigen said. “When we looked at one ski vacation in particular, we got to see how complicated that experience was and decided that this was the perfect opportunity to try and make this experience simpler for customers and to make it happen. a more relaxing and pleasant moment to live. friends and family staying in a house.



Adam Parker, owner and president of Summit Luxury Estates, owned a real estate company in St. Louis, and he and his wife – who has an affinity for hospitality and interior design – decided to move to Summit County and d ‘open their own business. in 2017.

While each owner has a unique vision for how their businesses are run, they have one thing in common and that is to help create a lavish experience for their guests while taking care of properties for owners.

Once a guest books through Moving Mountains – which has an office in Breckenridge and manages 75 homes locally – a member of staff works with them to create an itinerary and offers to take care of some details, if needed. Staff work with third parties to book activities such as ski lessons, sleigh rides, horseback rides, snowmobile tours and more. They can also coordinate transportation to and from Denver International Airport, book in-home ski boot accessories, and coordinate pickup and drop-off of groceries. While the team itself provides few of these services, Craigen said the main role of its direct-to-customer customer service staff is to make customers’ lives easier.

The staff at Summit Luxury Estates also have a few special tweaks up their sleeve to make a guest’s experience worth it. The company operates around 20 properties, and when one is booked, a member of staff greets the guest at the door of their property upon arrival. Once an agent greets them, they take the guest on a tour of the house.

“This is something that blew our guests away because a lot of these homes are bigger homes,” Parker said. “They have amenities – hot tubs and gas fireplaces and complicated stoves and ovens and things like that. It was another thing we heard a lot, was that the guests spent the first couple of days fumbling around the house trying to figure everything out.

Like Moving Mountains, the Summit Luxury Estates team relies on third parties to provide services such as personal transportation, grocery delivery, family photography, child care, child care. ‘pets and home ski boot adjustment. The team can obtain lift tickets, provide oxygen, and book tee times, and they also have relationships with third-party companies who can provide personal chef and in-house masseuse services.

The staff at Summit Luxury Estates can also prepare champagne and flower arrangements, and provide rental of baby equipment. In the past, they’ve handled small, specific requests like filling balloons and playing music before guests arrive.

Parker and Craigen both said families are the biggest customers who book one of their luxury rentals, but both have also catered for groups of friends and business retreats.

No matter who visits, the two agree that their goal is to provide a premium experience from start to finish.

This four bedroom, 5.5 bathroom luxury home in Breckenridge is one of many properties managed by Summit Luxury Estates. The company debuted in 2017 and works with third parties to provide guests with lavish, upscale experiences.
