The public restrooms in Warner’s Yard were broken into and vandalized between 9 p.m. Wednesday (September 22) and the following morning.
Selsey City Council said the changing unit was vandalized and equipment stolen.
“It was reported to the police,” a spokesperson said. “If anyone has any information regarding these incidents, please contact the police directly.
“Selsey City Council will seek to rectify the situation and replace the unit in due course.”
Sussex Police have confirmed receiving a break-in report which suspended the investigation.
A spokesperson said: “Damage was caused to the building and a changing table was taken from inside.
“No viable investigative leads have been identified and the case has been closed pending further information.
“Anyone who saw what happened or witnessed suspicious behavior in the area around this time can report online or by calling 101 citing the 341 series of 9/24.”
